Sales Tax Information

Colorado: Sales tax is collected on all orders shipped to addresses in Colorado.
Other States: Sales tax is not currently collected on orders shipped outside Colorado.

Why the difference?

As a Colorado-based business, I’m only required to collect sales tax in Colorado at this time.

Most U.S. states have economic nexus laws which require out-of-state businesses to collect sales tax once certain thresholds are met—typically $100,000 in annual sales or 200 transactions. My shop has not met those thresholds in any other state.

Use Tax

If you're ordering from outside Colorado, you may owe what is known as "use tax" to your home state.

This is usually equal to your state’s sales tax and is reported when you file your income taxes.

Check with your state’s department of revenue if you’re unsure about your obligations.
