Dry Creek Music is an authorized Northfield mandolin dealer in Colorado Springs, CO, specializing exclusively in Northfield mandolins.

It's owned and operated by Sean Ramsey (me). I personally respond to all inquiries and handle all sales. I am a one-person operation.

95% of my sales are online through my website. My mandolins are kept in cases and live in a humidity-controlled environment. I do not have a traditional walk-in retail storefront, so my inventory avoids the typical wear and tear often incurred from casual play.

I've been working with Northfield since 2016, back when the shop operated as Avenue Guitars. After I closed down Avenue Guitars, I took a couple years off to travel and re-opened as Dry Creek Music in 2025. You can read more on the about page.

There are currently 14 authorized Northfield dealers in the United States, and I'm proud to be one of them.

Every new instrument I sell carries Northfield's full factory warranty.

Setup

"Do you do a setup?" is one of the most common questions I get.

Northfields arrive from the workshop with an excellent factory setup, but I still check every instrument's setup when it arrives and again before it ships.

If you want something specific (lower action, a different string gauge), just ask.

Inspection and photography

I inspect every instrument when it arrives, photograph it, and inspect it again before it ships.

The photos on each listing show the exact instrument you'll receive with serial number. I never use stock images or photos of prior inventory.

Shipping, returns, and financing

Every mandolin ships free and fully insured, and financing options are available at checkout.

What I stock

I try to keep the Big Mon and S Series in stock year-round, along with oval hole and octave models. Some instruments arrive with a factory-installed K&K pickup.

I rarely have used inventory, but when I do it is listed on my used Northfields page.
